All new 2018 Ford Fiesta ST with better engine, performance, design, and technology.

With a turbocharged three-cylinder engine the car will be on sale in 2018.

The biggest news of the new model is the new engine configuration. Replacing the 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo to a 1.5- litre three-cylinder turbo motor, Ford claims it would produce more power and more torque.

The down-sized engine would be more efficient and cleaner as compared with the outgoing four-cylinder. Ford says the new model would bring down Co2 emissions from 138g/km to 114g/km. With a cylinder deactivation technology on board, the new car would improve its fuel economy.

The next generation of Ford’s supermini would produce 197bhp – 17bhp on the output of the motor, with a clear-cut peak torque from 240Nm to290Nm.

Having the same limit run with ST200 model, the new ST would crack0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, two-tenths of a second faster than the outgoing car. Fiesta has not unveiled the top speed, but AutoExpress suggests above or around 140 mph is a safe bet.

The new Fiesta ST comes with three selectable driving modes with Normal, Sport and Track, changing traction control, throttle response, power steering and exhaust valve settings.

A torque-vectoring unit used in the previous generation remains in the new car. It reduces understeer by braking the inside front wheel in corners.

Both three-door and five-door body styles will be available in the new Fiesta ST. The design cuts a close look to the standard Fiesta in ST-line trim with a more aggressive front bumper and grille.

Incorporating with exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and a painted rear diffuser, Fiesta introduces a new liquid blue paint colour option for those who want a more unique and youthful car model.

Inside the car, Ford would offer interior styling packs to five greater levels of personalisation for drivers.  It has alternative trim and finishes on items around the cockpit.

The new Sync 3 infotainment system appears alongside touchscreen display up to 8-inches in size is another must-see feature in the new model.

This article is the first glimpse of the new Ford’s supermini, but you can only wait till early 2018 for the launch. Keep taps on the time of order. It should start its booking order at the end of this year.
